After 15 min of inactivity, Render will spin down your container. This causes up to 30sec delay for next request-response.
Does Fly.io do the same thing, or is it better in this regard?
Fly doesn’t do this.
I moved to fly from render specifically because of this difference in their free tiers. I also have noticed that on fly my website performs the same initial page load in less than half a second whereas on render it was taking an average of 1050 milliseconds. My biggest problem with fly is that it is inexplicably unable to deploy from my computer using the CLI, so I can only deploy using github actions and can’t do it manually. I think most computers don’t have this problem though
