Hi, are you planning to launch reservation machines on Argentina at some point? The new prices in the region are double than in the US and it’s getting expensive for hobby apps.

Will reservations apply to the managed Postgres service if/when it’s released?

If I purchase a reservation for Postgres machines and later decide to migrate to the managed service, will it still be applicable?

We don’t have concrete plans for reservations on managed DBs yet. I would not expect to be able to convert machine reservations into future DB reservations though.

What happens when the monthly reservation ‘budget’ is spent? Can I still keep servers running but just not at 40% discount anymore?

Yes that’s correct. The reservation blocks are purely a budget/billing thing; they do not impact whether servers are running or not.

hi guys, i accidentally “Buy Reservations” twice, anyone know how to cancel one?

There were no notification of successful order, i thought the page error and i proceed to make the second purchase.

I’m no longer seeing the “machines reservations” option in my organization’s billing section. Has it been deprecated?

Were the “pay as you go” and other plans discontinued or changed?

Hey there, are you an admin of the org in question? You need to be an admin and have a payment method setup for this to be visible on the billing page:

Haha, sorry about that, since I couldn’t see it in the billing section, I assumed it had been deprecated.

It was my mistake. I’m actually not the organization owner, but I’ve already requested admin access and was able to see the option.

Hi! About to buy performance blocks in iad — the earlier answers here (monthly credit with no rollover, CPU + additional RAM only, scoped to org + region + class) covered most of what I needed. One thing I couldn’t find:

Does the credit apply to legacy (unmanaged) Fly Postgres machines? Our database is a fly postgres create-style cluster — performance-class machines in the same org and region, not Managed Postgres. Since credits apply to “any applicable usage in the organisation,” I’d expect its CPU/RAM charges to draw down the reservation like any other app’s, but I’d like to confirm before sizing a second block around it. (And presumably Managed Postgres would not be covered, since it’s billed as a separate product?)

Yeh UPG should be covered and MPG would not be. If you find your UPG machines usage is not being credited, reach out to billing@fly.io. Either that’d be a bug we can fix, or we can refund you for the reservation, since you’re only purchasing it for crediting UPG usage.
