Using fly as runner for github actions

Hi, I’ve been looking at fly.io as a potential short lived runner for github actions, but there isn’t much info available for that sort of use case, everything I found was about deploying apps to fly.io, which isn’t what I’m after.

Can fly.io be used as a platform for GHA runners, triggered per job and billed for the time it was running? Will the builds produced be usable on regular Linux? Any pointers, especially to documentations would be appreciated

Yes you can. Do you need fly though? You can run basic tasks/apps via GitHub actions.

More powerful runners, runners that pop up faster than EC2 instances, runners that are cheaper to run than similarly sized ec2 instances
