Can I send the Redis URL to an external server to better manage clearing cache?
My use case is that Fly acts as a reverse proxy with some heavy caching, but my origin server is on app engine.
Yep that’ll work. We don’t support it, but we have a number of customers doing exactly what you’re describing.

Should I be concerned about you turning this feature off for security in the future?
No it’ll be open. It’s much less useful if you could only connect from our VMs, but supporting every other use case is beyond us.
