Infra Log Summary: June 15th-21st

We want it to be easy to figure out what’s happening with infrastructure and operations! So, you can read about our progress last week over on the infra-log

Here’s a summary:

  • We had three incidents that degraded performance in SIN, impacted volume allocation in GRU, or broke some of our billing features… and one incident that turned out to be nothing.
  • We made improvements in response to some noticed packet loss in Asia regions which improve the network quality for users, and help improve our own telemetry and tooling.
  • We wrapped up all the issues preventing us from migrating machines between hosts: We finished prepping our multi-node Postgres clusters to be migrated, and added 6PN address forwarding.
  • We began migrating machines to newer hosts and decommissioning old hardware!
