Is it possible to access say 2 days events just from the log shipper? I haven’t connected it to any external log handling service. Had one but it expired and I need to view logs for the last several days. Does the service keep the logs till they can be read in a local file or it’s more of a message broker kind of system which does not persist the logs locally?

No, the logs aren’t kept for very long, only for retry purposes, so unfortunately you’re probably out of luck.
