Different location for an IP address

Hi,

I allocate an IPV4 (NRT region) for the application. And my application talking to external service. Sometime this external service detect this IP from US location and sometime to Tokyo location.

I’m wondering if there’re any way that I can force the location of the IP address?

Fly’s outbound IPs are geo-classified as US IPs because the company behind Fly is registered in the US (ie, Fly has to work in close liaison with geo-ip location providers to sort this one out for you):

Did you stumble upon this new one? Short of using proxies, unfortunately, sounds like it. There’s nothing stopping geo-ip location providers from classifying all Fly-owned IPs as originating in the US, unless Fly takes matters into its own hands and interfaces with these providers in publishing IP ranges per region. Wait for someone else to chime in, in case I’m wrong here.

If you’re on Fly’s paid plans, write to them over email to see if they have app-specific workarounds or to request a timeline for this feature.
