Unable to delete personal organization memberships

I mistakenly added a contractor to the “personal” organization and now it won’t let me remove them. The error is essentially:

Error failed removing user EMAIL from ORGANIZATIOn: Can’t delete a personal organization memberships.

Is there a workaround, or some way for me to force their removal?

I just removed the other user from your personal org. Out of curiosity, how were you able to add another user? We have some checks for that but I guess we missed a spot.

I added them through the CLI about two weeks ago. Nothing special about the command.

It ended up causing more trouble for them as well because the “personal” organization conflicted.
