S3 download file to Fly.io

I understand that I’m not charged for data transferred into fly.io but for data transferred out, which is beneficial.

However, I have a query regarding downloading files from AWS S3 to my application hosted on fly.io. While I won’t incur fees for the bytes downloaded into fly.io, would I still be charged by AWS for the downloaded bytes?

It’s akin to the scenario where downloading files from S3 to an EC2 instance doesn’t incur charges. So, would the same apply when downloading from AWS S3 to a machine on fly.io?

Unless AWS is going to buy Fly, I don’t think so. :sweat_smile:
