remove database from cluster in litefs cloud.

Hi,

I have done some searching and I cant find a way to remove databases from the cloud backup.

There is a database I dont want anymore, but dont want to remove the rest of the databases from the cluster.

How is this achieveable?

If you delete from your local LiteFS cluster then it will remove the data but the historical backups will be available if you ever want to revert. Are you wanting to do a hard delete on the backup for the database?

Hi Ben,

Yeah I am using the selective sync feature.
I have a master management node that has all the database files on and I have them synced read only to a bunch of front end severs for each customer. If I lose a customer (god forbid) I want to delete the database from the master and remove the backup after a month once I am sure they aren’t coming back, that way I am not paying for the backup storage for no reason.

We only bill for the current database size so if you’ve deleted the database in LiteFS then it won’t count against your LiteFS Cloud storage going forward.
