phoenix.new IDE stays in "Setting up IDE" and never completes

I was using phoenix.new and the IDE kept taking quite some time to load. It eventually did load. After working a bit in the build in vscode, I needed to refresh and the IDE does not load anymore. It keeps showing the “Setting up your IDE” screen and never completes.

How can I get my IDE back? :joy:

Yeah I have the same issue, currently unable to use phoenix.new. :cry:

I had the same problem and I clicked on the top left, then selected “Restart IDE”. After a while it worked again.

I did try that but I think something is wrong with my instance in general and it probably needs to be replaced. At least for me. the “Restart IDE” button doesn’t change anything about the loading screen.

Just checked again, and phoenix.new now has a remaining credit display area. It shows $0.00 remaining. I thought that this could be the root cause of the problem.

I bought $20 extra credit, but it instantly decreased by $3+. I’m still stuck setting up IDE. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

@lwrless Your IDE was wedged. I fixed it up and reset your credits. Sorry for the issues! Give things another go and let us know how it goes!

@tmbo your IDE looks g2g. Let me know if you see otherwise. Thanks!

@chrismccord This has happened to me several times also. After purchasing a $100 credit, it immediately decreased by about $52 on one occasion, and again after a $50 purchase. The IDE is also stuck on “Setting Up Your IDE”.

Taking a look now. We had a usage bug where we allowed everyone to overuse $40 a couple days ago, so the next credit purchase got eaten by the overuse. Obviously that’s not your fault. We fixed up all the usage since then, but a handful of folks got caught in b/w the mixup. I’ve credited you back $40. Looking at your IDE now, so stand by!

Okay was able to bring your IDE back by restarting it. You can restart it yourself from the hamburger menu, but I’ll take a deeper look to see why it got wedged. You should be good to go!

@chrismccord Thank you! I’m really enjoying phoenix.new!

(it did work eventually after restarting!)

Running into the same issue . Using the hamburger menu to restart the IDE doesn’t seem to resolve either. :thinking:
