Frequent networking timeouts in Singapore region

Does any body else having outbound networking issues with machines in Singapore region?

I frequently get outbound networking issues with any new machine that I run in the Singapore region. It is especially noticeable when the outbound is to another third-party host that is in Singapore. There is frequent networking throttling or time out that happens. For example SSH connection to clone a repo, fetching latest Gradle version over public http, fetching resources via Cloudflare tunnel/proxy … . Resources are downloaded either in matter of seconds, or get stuck and times out pretty frequently.

I am happy to run any command to troubleshot this in more details.

I see. Sounds similar. I think they are outbound IPV6 networking issues. Does your machine run on the default IPv6?

I just moved to another region (Tokyo), deployed the exact same machine two-three time and did not experience any of the networking problem.

Moving to a different region is not an option for me. The main problem is that it add a lot of latency that makes it not ideal for my users.

It looks like you have resolved this by moving to a different region, but: if you do see this kind of issues again, running a mtr your_target_domain from inside your machines when you see these issues and posting them will help us a lot in diagnosing what is going on with your specific situation.

Will do. on a similar note, it has been a week when I head to https://fly.io/dashboard/[MYORG]/status I get HTTP 500.

 Whoa, something’s up…
