I want to host an application at example.[mydomain].com on fly.io
Currently, I have another application on Fly.io that uses [mydomain].com.
Is it possible to host a different application on a separate machine using the subdomain example.[mydomain].com?

However this doesnt. I guess the reason are the certs? because all i receive is a an error from the server
Correct, you need to cert to verify you own the domain name.
