Fly deploy failing: failed to update VM permission_denied bolt token

We updated several machines across three applications, and for some reason our last application is not failing to deploy with the following error:

We’ve tried reauthenticating and a few other things, but can no longer deploy this app.

Help, thoughts, suggestions greatly appreciated as this is a production ap.

if anyone else comes across this - the solution was to manually stop and destroy the machines, and then re-deploy.
