@adam-coster Sorry! I forgot about the original traceroute, but I was also wondering if changing the destination edge also swapped out some of the bad routes in the middle (if there was any). In an ideal world, I would love to have an mtr both before and after because that will show losses in addition to the hops, but I understand this is nowhere near straightforward for non-technical users.
We do have some hypothesis about why the original Chicago edge didn’t work well for the user – we will also be digging deeper on our part for this.
