Up until now, if you were on a legacy Hobby plan and wanted to convert to PAYG, you had to wait until the next billing period for the change to kick in. This was pretty frustrating, especially if the whole reason for you converting was to buy paid support for help on a pressing issue.
So we fixed this! If you’re on a legacy Hobby plan and want to convert to PAYG, the change will now go through immediately. All free allowances that come with the Hobby plans will end, and you’ll start being charged on a pay-as-you-go basis (more details on those free allowances are here). If you were on the $5/month paid Hobby plan, you’ll be credited a pro-rated amount based on the current billing period. We’ve expanded the old message shown on the invoice preview page with these details as well.
