write rate limit for managed postgres

Hi,

Is there rate limit for write request to managed postgres?

we’re syncing data from Sequin (aka https://www.stacksync.com/ ) to non-managed postgres, and sometimes our postgres crashes because of failover doesn’t work properly and all nodes go zombie. (even if the write traffic is around 200k-500kBps only)

we’d love to switch to managed postgres, only if it can support high write traffic.

Hi, Managed Postgres billing is prorated to the time the cluster is alive, so you could spin up a cluster and try a test sync to see if it can keep up with your volume of data. If it can’t and starts falling over, we’ll probably reach out and let you know why (e.g. if it’s too small we may tell you you need to scale it up to cope with your workload) - benefits of a managed solution! And if you decide it’s not working for you, just destroy the cluster - you’ll only be billed for the time the cluster was alive. That said - keep in mind that the scope of management may be to identify that it’s undersized and let you know so you can resize it; we’re unlikely to be able to shoehorn a specific workload on a cluster that’s undersized for it
