Windows Security blocks sprite.exe as a trojan

Hi, I have just signed up and set up the CLI on Windows. When I first tried to set up a sprite, Windows Security quarantined sprite.exesaying it has detected Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml. As it has the mlsuffix, I guess this is a machine-learning based false positive. However due to company policy we are unable to whitelist executables that have been quarantined.

Can Fly.io add anything to the exe to show Windows it is safe?

I’m looking into this and I’m not able to recreate the issue under Win11. Is there any more info you can share about your version of Windows and/or the versions under Windows Security –> Settings –> About? Feel free to DM me if that’s easier.

Thanks for flagging!

Could you take a hash of the file, e.g. MD5, and put it here? That will allow someone to confirm whether your executable has indeed been modified.
