Trouble linking GitHub repo - SSO identity is linked to another user

Hi, I’m having trouble linking my GitHub repo to Fly.io.

When I try to connect my GitHub account, I get this error:

The SSO identity is linked to another user. If you would like to log in as this user, please log out.

I already tried:

  • Running fly auth logout and logging in again.
  • Removing Fly.io from my GitHub authorized applications.
  • Logging out and back in with a different browser/account.

But I still can’t link my GitHub repo. Could someone help me unlink or reset the SSO identity so I can connect the right account?

Thanks in advance!

Hey there. That means our database currently has that your GitHub user is attached to another fly.io account.

Can you send me your github handle (either here or DM me in this forum) so I can check? Can you login to the other github account?

hey there! i had been facing the same issue too, i have a main org email (tech@myorg.com) and my personal email which was added via org email. i cant connect my github acc via my org’s email and also my personal email requires credit card though i have added one on my org’s email another issue i had been facing on the org’s email was email verification, i havent been receiving any email for verification even though i tried resending it.
for more context the org email uses email (proton.me) password auth and my personal email uses my github oauth

@777advait that sounds a different issue to me? Can you try mailing billing@fly.io since it’s related to asking credit card
