Sprites subscription cancellation: does access continue with usage-based billing?

Hi Fly/Sprites team,

I’m currently on the Sprites Adventurer / Level 20 subscription, but I only have one Sprite and it is not active very often.

My main concern is: if I cancel the Sprites subscription, will my existing Sprites be preserved, or could they be destroyed/deleted permanently with no way to recover them?

More specifically, I’m trying to understand whether cancellation:

  • preserves existing Sprites and their files/checkpoints

  • keeps them accessible under standard usage-based billing

  • merely removes the included plan allowances / warm and active Sprite limits

  • disables access until I subscribe again, while still preserving the Sprites

  • or permanently deletes/destroys existing Sprites and data

I checked the docs and billing page, but I couldn’t find a clear answer for the post-cancellation state.

Thanks!

Hi there,

If you cancel the subscription you’d move to the “pay-as-you-go” basic operation model. It does not destroy or delete sprites. The main restriction is how many sprites can be active at any given time, that will be lower than with your current subscription.

If you have only a single sprite, it would be basically the same either way.

Your sprites (or lone sprite) would not be deleted, suspended, or throttled in any adidtional way.
