Scaling Fly.io Machines Quota: Is 10k Containers Possible?

Hi,

We’ve been testing our agent infrastructure on Fly.io and the results have been great so far. Now we’re preparing for product launch and starting to think about scaling.

Currently our account has a limit of 50 machines, and we’d like to understand how far this quota can be increased. Is there a maximum machines limit that Fly.io supports per app or per account?

In particular, we’re curious whether Fly.io can support large-scale deployments such as ~10k containers (for example, one container per user, 1 cpu / 2gb ram). If anyone has experience scaling to this level on Fly.io, we’d really appreciate any insights or recommendations.

this is definitely possible! we have customers with 100k+ machines. there’s some details to be discussed - we’d want to work with you on capacity planning, I recommend subscribing to a paid Support plan and talking to us by email or in Slack if you prefer.

in the immediate, if you hit (or are close to) the machines limit and need more space, just send us an email at billing@fly.io and we’ll raise it.
