Hello , i have an Org on legacy hobby plan
previously i had free allowance, i had an app there which i didn’t need anymore so i deleted that and when i go to launch a new app it shows free trial activated.
What does the free trial mean for me? as i am already a returning user
what will happen to my legacy plan?
will i be still getting my free allowances? or will i be moved to PAYG plan?
do i need to go for $5 commitment or any similar things?
I have the Legacy Hobby Plan as well. I think everyone gets a $5 USD write-off, i.e. if your bill is below that value then it is not collected. I have a couple of small containers running, and when it goes to about $4, it is not charged for.
I seem to recall it being said here that the policy of not collecting small bills could change in the future. So perhaps it is a good idea to plan to pay your small bill, and if it is written off, you can call that a bonus.
Ah, if you go here https://fly.io/dashboard/user-123/billing, and substitute your username, you’ll see at the bottom if you have any free machine allowances. I think the Legacy Hobby Plan might still have that, in which case the sub five-dollar rule would not apply to you.
