Open Source CMS & Fly.io

We’re working on an open source headless CMS called Byline. The project is here…

Would anyone at Fly.io be interested in talking to us about sponsorship? Or even just a shout out if we make deploying to Fly our ‘primary’ platform for our project templates?

Would very much welcome any and all that would like to discuss Byline.

Kind regards,

Tony

Mostly for devil’s advocacy, if the thing you most need is a headless CMS, wouldn’t WordPress do the job? A quick web search indicates that one does not even need a plugin these days; you get a RESTful API out the box.

Hi @halfer thanks for the reply. There are quite a few differences between a Wordpress CMS - even via ‘headless’ or RESTful API, and those in the class of CMSs such as Strapi, Contentful, Payload and hopefully soon - Byline!. At the heart of this an others is a structured text editor that’s stored as JSON (in a serializable format) and not a pile of HTML/CSS as Wordpress does. Also a clean code based for a headless CMS like Byline would lend itself well to first-class AI support - an MCP server and more.
