As of today, we’ve improved the way that we handle linking SSO identities to your account with the goal of making the behaviour more explicit and predictable.
Before this change, if you tried to link an SSO identity that was linked to a different account, you were silently logged out of your current account and into the SSO-associated account.
Now we’re showing you the following error message that lets you know that the SSO identity has already been linked to a different account.
This change give you better transparency and control during the SSO identity linking process as some users were running into this problem when attempting to use the new GitHub Launch UI.
