Mysql server suspends almost immediately. How do I stop this?

I followed this guide:

But, it suspends almost immediately and isn’t available when I try to connect to it. How do I keep this server alive? Or do I need to? I notice the guide removes anything dealing with min_machines_running

Are you using PlanetScale, or Fly Managed MySQL, or a self-hosted instance?

It’s hard to know how to advise here, as the information provided is so sparse. If you start the container locally, does it also exit prematurely?

This ended up being due to the mysql version being correct for the config. Fly is updating their documentation to account for the minimum necessary version.
