Since you were gracious to reply to my other thread on Egress IP, I have one another curious question. Why do we not have meta data at the app level? Makes life simple to organise apps in dev/stage/production, as well as different projects within the organisation itself. For example, I would like to group Web Apps, and Add ons (Redis/Postgres/RMQ) separately within the organisation further split into dev/stage/prod.
We used networking name for stage/production, but for project and app grouping, one additional field, like meta data on machines, would really help. I had asked this earlier, but never got a response on this. In our internal app flydeck, we ended up maintaining apps in our db, just for this grouping.
