Previously we had 24hour of logs that I could go through. Now it seems to show about 1h 15m or so and if I wait a few minutes and refresh - again I only see the new 1h 15m of logs. I have logs set to display 6hours of logs.
Is there a change in Fly.io logs? Have we made a config error? Is the log time changable?
The odd thing is that of our 4 systems - only one is behaving this way!?
PS - I know we need to start sending our logs to an external logging service, but in this case I would like to review logs from only 2-3hours ago.
You’re referring to the Log Search feature in Fly Metrics? There’s been no change to this service or any issues we’re aware of, it should retain up to 30 days of logs.
And to clarify, is there a gap of missing historical logs you’re expecting to find, or are logs not being retained past 1h15m on an ongoing basis?
Considering you’re only observing this on a single app a platform-wide issue seems unlikely, I would try to rule out that the application simply didn’t output some logs you were expecting for some application reason.
