We’ve been doing a ton of work behind the scenes to try and make launches at Fly more successful. @benbjohnson and @clouvet made an internal dashboard to see when and why fly launch fails, and one of the biggest reasons is also the simplest: if you try to create a volume larger than a gigabyte without a payment method, you need to add one. This is unnecessary friction for people trying to get started with Fly, and the fix is incredibly easy. In this case, we’re just lowering the default volume size from 3 GB to 1.
