I have a machine 287e444b129d58 in app busroute-api that’s stuck in migrated state in the ord region. It has no IP address and doesn’t serve traffic, but it blocks every deploy because fly deploy tries to update it and times out
repeatedly.
I’ve tried:
- fly machines destroy 287e444b129d58 --force → failed_precondition: unable to update machine to destroying
- fly scale count 2 → same error when it tries to remove the machine
- fly machines update → 408 timeout
The machine was originally in ord and got stuck when I migrated to iad due to resource shortages. My 2 healthy machines in iad work fine — I just need this ghost removed so deploys don’t hang.
Could someone from the Fly team manually remove it? Thanks!
