Is there a way to make the "built in" Grafana dashboards public?

As the title says, is there a way to make the “built in” Grafana dashboards public?

I can see that Grafana has a documented way of doing this, but it seems to be disabled when I try. So I am either guessing that it’s not possible/allowed or maybe I need to do something else?
