How to remove/unmount volume from all my machines without downtime

I run a website and no longer need the mounted Volumes. I checked forum and it is recommended by a staff to destroy all machines first and then remove mount section from the app and re-deploy.

hi @jmuncaster fly volumes destroy <volume id> is the correct command to destroy a volume. (You will lose all data stored on the volume when you do this.) To “unmount” a volume without destroying it, you would destroy the Machine it’s attached to. Seems like the only way to do it, for now atleast. You can comment out your mount section in fly.toml and redeploy to see if that helps.
