Hmm, I thought that bills under 5USD are waived. I believe you can drop a line to billing@fly.io, and someone will sort you out.

Hey, i got charged immediately, even before the deployment, so i dont think its a pay as you go thing, i was not able to deploy.

The immediate charge is probably the preauthorization (from the quote above).

You can email the address that @halfer cited if you do want certainty.

The aside was a passing comment on the use of the phrase “free plan” in the thread title. There’s been a lot of confusion in recent months of people looking for a free tier that they heard was here, :fish_cake_with_swirl:, but that no longer exists in reality…
