hello flysters! I can currently do Explore > Query on a Grafana view to export data, but tail is hard-limited to max 10000 rows.
Is there a way of exporting all the data from a Grafana view? Or - can someone explain how to get the logs off a fly machine reliably so I can work with them? (sorry, noob here) TIA!
Hi… The logs aren’t on the Machine itself, which is designed to be highly disposable (by default). Rather, they’re streamed through NATS and persisted in the depths of Fly.io’s infrastructure (currently still based on Quickwit, as I understand it). The following official doc covers all the ways to retrieve / subscribe to logs that I’ve heard of:

All but the third one (Log Shipper to External Sink) have caveats, and, as it says, most only provide future entries, not retrospective.
