Does managed Postgres backup to the managed region?

For regulatory reasons I’m considering Fly.io run in yyz (Toronto, Canada) with managed Postgres. Can Fly.io confirm that automated backups for a Postgres instance in yyz are also backed up to a yyz location? Competitors such as Heroku back up data outside the instance region and I need to verify where the backup data is located before committing.

Hi Michael,

Backups for YYZ clusters are stored in S3 buckets in the ca-central-1 region which is in Canada - they don’t go to the US, for example.
