CPU Throttling Email Alert

We received an email stating this app will begin to get throttled as its using more CPU than provisioned but I am seeing sub 10% and very small load.

Not sure I understand how or why this app is getting this notification or why this app needs to be upgraded.

We’re changing how limits on machine CPU usage are enforced. Some of your machines seem to be underprovisioned and will be throttled as a result of this change. We wanted to give you a heads-up so you can update your deployments before the CPU changes take effect. Thanks for reaching out. This looks like a bug in our CPU accounting. I’ll look into it.

Hey, could I get a check on my account too? Also got the throttling alert and also have sub 10% utilization consistently

@nas It’s a bit hard to tell. It looks like a few days ago your machine was running pretty hot. It might have accumulated a significant negative balance (I updated this post to explain that potential situation) or it might be suffering from the same CPU accounting issue we’re seeing on a few other machines. Don’t worry about it for now and we’ll update this thread when we get the accounting bug figured out.

I posted an update in Predictable Processor Performance - #62 by btoews. We found the cause of the issue you’re experiencing and will have a fix out soon. The rollout schedule for CPU quota enforcement has been pushed back by a week.
