Connection to DB at AWS EU Ireland

Hi, we’ve just cut our app over from Heroku (Ireland hosting) to Fly in London region.

Our database is at AWS in Ireland and we’re seeing 10x more latency on DB queries.

Is this expected/normal? I’d have expected some slow down but this is too much for us.

maybe - try eu-west-2 (London) and see if you get any better latency.

Yep, it’s on the list, I’d just like to understand what we should be expecting, relatively, when connecting from outside of the AWS garden in. Thanks.
