Can't Deploy - Error "failed to list VMs even after retries: request returned non-2xx status, 500"

I am encountering while attempting to deploy my application on Fly.io. I have been trying to deploy an app in the IAD region, but I keep receiving the following error message:Error: failed to list VMs even after retries: request returned non-2xx status, 500

Despite multiple attempts, I have not been able to successfully deploy the app. I have ensured that all my configuration settings are correct, but the problem persists. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any guidance or troubleshooting steps you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

I am seeing the same problem. App deploys to multiple regions including IAD. Not seeing anything on the status page: https://status.flyio.net/.

Also receiving these errors:

WARN failed to acquire lease: failed to get lease on VM XXXXXXXXXXXXXX: request returned non-2xx status, 500

WARN failed to acquire lease: failed to get lease on VM XXXXXXXXXXXXXX: request returned non-2xx status, 500

WARN failed to release lease for machine XXXXXXXXXXXXXX: request returned non-2xx status, 500

WARN failed to release lease for machine XXXXXXXXXXXXXX: request returned non-2xx status, 500

WARN failed to release lease: request returned non-2xx status, 500

WARN failed to release lease: request returned non-2xx status, 500

WARN error releasing machine leases: error releasing leases on machines

Looks like the deploys are working again. Not sure if it was a transitory issue but I changed the VM to 512 ram and then brought them back down to 256 and both deploys worked.

Yes, it works for me as well. Not sure what changed in the environment. I didn’t see any incident reported on the status page as well.

Hi folks,

A single server in the ewr region had a machine API issue for about an hour that required manual intervention this morning. Sorry for the inconvenience!
