Is there one geo-located data centre per region, and thus cross-organizational resources in the same region are guaranteed to be geo-located exactly together, or are there sub-geo-located availability-zones within each region like AWS?
we don’t currently expose AZs per region (most regions have a single datacenter). there have been talks of doing this for our largest regions, but no plans yet.
for regions with multiple datacenters, new resources will be provisioned based on capacity, and machines in the same app may be in different DCs. this is generally not noticeable since inter-DC latency is low.
