I built my first website on fly.io.
To do this, I purchased a domain of my own and set up my DNS correctly on fly.io’s Certificates,
but when I use Google When searching for my own website,
it was not directed to my domain name but to the URL of fly.io.
Do any experts have any suggestions?
Hi @BlackInk7777 ,
What is your website tech stack ?
What is the fly.dev subdomain and custom domain for your site ?
I use node.js-express-web.
I don’t quite understand the second question…
it’s https://example.xyz/
fly.io is https://example.fly.dev
This custom domain is not valid.
I don’t think this is the real fly subdomain for your application.
maybe someone from fly.io team can help you .
If you had your site up for a period of time with the default .fly.dev
domain, then it can take Google some time (days or weeks?) to update because it needs to crawl/index the new URL. You can possibly speed this up using Google search console tools.
