MPG clusters consist of two machines, where one is the primary and the other is a replica for failover. But, both machines are in the same region so it doesn’t tolerate region failures today.
I wondering if there are any plans to support cross region failover in the future for your MPG offering?
MPG does not currently support cross-region read replicas: each cluster lives in one region and the replica is indeed an in-region standby for high availability.
Multi-region resilience is a known request, and there’s already groundwork in MPGv2 for this sort of functionality but we don’t have an ETA to share at the moment.
