Lost trust in Fly.io - exteremely unreliable platform

I have been running my app on Fly.io for a few years, and I choose them knowing their reliability was bad, to take chance on them.

I regret that decision, because every single time my app has downtime and affected real paying customers is because Fly screwed on of my up - some times its network connectivity issue, sometimes its emergency host maintainance with short notice.

The founders of Fly write fancy blog posts and chase next big thing (agent platform!?) but their service quality, reliability has not improved much.

I’d stay away if I were you from Fly.

If your app is sensitive to downtimes, put at least 2 instances in different regions to serve it.

Serving from a single instance and having a good uptime are utterly incompatible things. Unpredictable network hiccups, routing troubles, power outages, platform updates are all contribute to the uptime erosion. If you have paying customers - at least 2 globally distributed app instances is the right way to go.
