How to access Python interpreter executable from a Phoenix app

I have a phoenix app that uses erlport to launch python processes within elixir. What I need for communication between the two languages to work is the path to the python interpreter executable. With the default debian image for phoenix apps, python should be already included, but I cannot find the path it is located at. How can I access it? Do I need to preform special build steps or add to the Dockerfile in some way?

EDIT: I figured it out. It was simple, I just added python3 to the second line of RUN apt-get update ...apt-get install... on the dockerfile. My mistake was adding it to the first instance, which gets cleaned out.
