I’m trying to authenticate to the docker registry but it doesn’t seem to work. It worked before ok
[https://status.flyio.net/](https://status.flyio.net/) says everything is up

```auto
% flyctl auth docker
Update available 0.0.412 -> v0.0.413.
Run "flyctl version update" to upgrade.
Error failed authenticating with registry.fly.io: Error response from daemon: login attempt to https://registry.fly.io/v2/ failed with status: 401 Unauthorized
```

here’s the debug output

```auto
LOG_LEVEL=DEBUG flyctl auth docker --verbose
DEBUG Loaded flyctl config from/Users/diego/.fly/config.yml
DEBUG determined hostname: "dora"
DEBUG determined working directory: "/Users/diego"
DEBUG determined user home directory: "/Users/diego"
If it isn’t a Fly thing ([see](https://community.fly.io/t/error-when-deploy-to-fly-io/5360)), then it could be that the _auth token_ is gone.
Try `flyctl auth login` ([docs](https://fly.io/docs/flyctl/auth-login/)) and then `flyctl auth docker`?
it’s back working after a while. I guess it was just a (long) hiccup
Thanks for reporting this. We found a periodic connectivity issue from the registry in the gru region to the database used to authorize requests. This thread has a similar error to what you were seeing: [Error failed to fetch an image or build from source: error rendering push status stream: unauthorized: not allowed](https://community.fly.io/t/error-failed-to-fetch-an-image-or-build-from-source-error-rendering-push-status-stream-unauthorized-not-allowed/5042)
We believe that connectivity issues were fixed earlier today, and these won’t recur. Let us know if you see this again.
