It is Thanksgiving weekend so I’ll give them some leeway, but someone needs some 'splaining to do.
I think Fly.io intentionally doesn’t have any “Lucy” roles, so to speak…

Aside: There was a preliminary, brief postmortem posted over on HN this time…
[…] here it was a particularly ambitious customer app pushing our state sync service into a corner case; it’s one we knew about, but the solution (federating regional state sharing clusters rather than running one globally) is taking time to roll out.
And for those few who might not have heard the usual refrain already, a full one is always added to the Infrastructure Log (which flies under almost everyone’s radar, unfortunately), including a list of what steps they’re taking to prevent this from happening in the future.
That gets updated on a weekly cadence, so the entry for this outage probably won’t appear until the week of December 5.
Personally, I’m fully satisfied that Fly is treating this as a major and unacceptable disruption. I’d caution against reading too much into initial, off-hand, individual remarks about it “only” being orchestration and the entire API that was down. Presenting things with both full technical precision and balance takes time, and someone who is still heads-down in fixing the aftershocks and so on isn’t necessarily going to nail that on the first try…
