# Envoy + Docker Image?

Is there existing documentation / best practice for deploying envoy alongside an application?

I read this - [Running Multiple Processes Inside A Fly.io App · Fly Docs](https://fly.io/docs/app-guides/multiple-processes/) … but wondering if there is existing prior art.

You could run Envoy as a separate app and have it forward requests to your main app. Would that work? Someone [did this with a grpc service](https://community.fly.io/t/grpc-service-behind-envoy-proxy/4716).
