# Compute-optimized machines?

Are there any plans to support compute-optimized machines? Workloads that require heavy CPU usage but not that much RAM (i.e. video rendering/processing) could benefit from it.

I might need a performance-8x machine, mostly for the 8 vCPUs, but I don’t really need 16GB. I’d be fine with half of it.

Either new compute-optimized configurations or lower the minimum amount of memory possible for each performance configuration to a half.
